Production process:

Handwork moulding, though most parts can achieve the moulding by machine, for some complex structure parts, the hand moulding is still needed.


Machining process:

CNC machine, machining center, lathe, mill machine, drill machine, etc.


Surface treatment process:

paint coating, electrophoretic paint coating, electrogalvanizing coating, black oxide coating, phosphate treatment,  powder coating, etc.


Product Material and Uses

Normally production with gray iron HT200, HT250, ductile iron 65-45-12, 60-40-18, 80-55-06, 80-60-03, 100-70-03, etc.

The ductile iron casting products are widely used for Auto-cars, trains, trucks, vehicle components, mining machinery components, agricultural machinery parts, textile machinery parts, construction machinery parts, etc.


What is Ductile Iron?

Ductile iron is a modern iteration of cast iron. Cast iron and ductile iron have contrasting physical properties caused by differences in their microstructures.

The graphite and carbon contained in cast iron occur as flakes; cast iron exhibits positive compressive load capabilities, but tensile loading above its natural tensile strength can cause cracks to form and propagate rapidly out from stress points within the flaked graphite microstructure. As a result, cast iron has virtually no elongation. It is a brittle material, and therefore limited in its use in tensile and shock loading applications.

The graphite within ductile iron occurs as spheroids, so it is sometimes referred to as spheroidal graphite. Similarly, the term nodular iron stems from the fact that the carbon contained in ductile iron is held in the form of nodules. This unique microstructure causes ductile iron to withstand bending and shock loading far better than traditional cast iron.


What is in Ductile Iron? (Composition)

If you were to do a chemical analysis of ductile iron, this is what you would normally find:

Iron ~94%

Carbon 3.2 – 3.60%

Silicon 2.2 – 2.8%

Manganese 0.1 – 0.2%

Magnesium 0.03 – 0.04%

Phosphorus 0.005 – 0.04%

Sulfur 0.005 – 0.02%

Copper <= 0.40%

To improve the strength of ductile iron, additional tin or copper can be added. To improve corrosion resistance, copper, nickel, or chromium can replace anywhere from 15-30% of the iron.
