Investment Casting Process Machinery Components Supply

Production process: lost wax casting process (investment casting process)

Weight range: from 0.01 kilograms to 50 kilograms

Heat Treatment Process: normalizing, annealing, tempering etc.

Machining process: CNC machine, machining center, lathe, mill machine, drill  machine, etc.

Surface treatment process: Paint coating, electrophoretic paint coating, electrogalvanizing coating, black oxide coating, phosphate treatment, powder coating, etc.


Product Material and Uses

Normally produce with ASTM 4140 alloy steel, 4130 alloy steel, 8620 alloy steel, WCB, WCC, LCC Grade and other specified alloy material.

The alloy steel casting products are widely used for Auto-cars, trains, trucks, vehicle components, and mining machinery components, agricultural machinery parts, textile machinery parts, construction machinery parts, etc.


How are Investment Castings Made?

Developing investment castings involves creating an original wax model, coating the image with plaster and building of successive layers until strong shell envelopes the model. After melting out the wax, molten metal will be poured into the mold, creating a perfect duplicate of the original wax pattern.

Compared to machining apart, investment casting can economically offer undercuts, high definition, complex detail and a smooth surface finish.

Most often, investment casting is the only way a part can be economically manufactured.
